| The Notre Dame Football fighting Irish have certainly had a season to remember. Or forget is more appropriate. The legendary college of the "gipper" and other college football greats has endured a season of embarrassing defeats unlike in any previous season in the Notre Dame Football history. My son in law is a Notre Dame Football fan and has been all his life. He is, well, disappointed to say the least. I have been hearing on ESPN Sportscenter that the Notre Dame Football coach Charlie Weiss is going to speak with his former team's coach's about any ideas they might have to help him right a sinking ship. This former team would be none other than the NFL's New England Patriots, but I doubt even they can come up with a plan to turn the team around. Good luck, not! Now why you ask would I say that? Because I have only 3 college teams I really enjoy watching lose and Notre Dame Football is at the top of the list. It is unfair to other college football teams that Notre Dame Football is an "independent team" and not belong to a conference. Fine, stay independent, but along with that "independence" they should have to give up their ability to "steal" a bowl game appearance from the Big East Conference if they win 6 or more games in a season. Also in 1988 my favorite college football team played Notre Dame for the National Title and those fine upstanding scholar athlete's from Notre Dame put a cheap shot on our quarterback that dislocated his shoulder and took him out of the game. Now why would these outstanding young gentlemen do such a nasty, underhanded and devious deed such as this you ask? Because they knew our quarterback was capable of easily beating them so 2 Notre Dame Football players blindsided him "while the whistle was being blown to end the play I might add" and took him out of the game. And Notre Dame won the game. Oh boo hoo hoo for the fighting Irish. Notre Dame Football STINKS! I love it baby!! |
