According to a survey of 1,576 singles performed by "It's Just Lunch", the premiere dating service for busy professionals in 85 locations worldwide, 51% of females and 57% males will be watching an NFL game or college football game on Thanksgiving Day. Daniel Dolan, CEO of "It's Just Lunch" states, "Thanksgiving and football is as American as ice cream, apple pie and baseball.  Football has become so much of a Thanksgiving Day tradition that it has wiped out the common misconception that females hate football and hate when their men watch football."

In the poll the ladies were asked if it would bother them when the men of their lives watch football on Thanksgiving and 40% of them said no, because they would be watching football too. 38% of women said watching a little football is OK as long as the men help prepare dinner or clean up. 10% said it's OK if it is just 1 game.
