The Boise State football team finished last season with a ten win, three loss record. This 2007 Boise State football team feels they can do even better in the 2008 college football season, and one reason is the group of linebackers returning for the 2008 campaign. One of the returning lettermen is Boise State football linebacker Tim Brady and his fellow linebackers have been the focus of much abuse by Boise State football fans and sportswriters that he along with the other group of linebackers played below their potential. They did not force very many fumbles or turnovers and could not stop the opposing team from running the football.

While Tim Brady had what many would consider a good season for the Boise State football team with fifty seven solo tackles, he is the first to admit the linebackers as a group did not play well and for the team to do well in the up-coming 2008 season the returning group of linebackers need to correct the problems and play better. For example in the 2006 Boise State football season the team allowed only seven rushing touchdowns. In the 2007 season they allowed twenty. This is a huge drop in defensive performance. I have admit I do not often watch Boise State football games as they have little impact in the major college football conferences and the chase for the National Championship but I have seen them play and they do appear to be a decent football team.
