bill belichickMaybe the New England Patriots are not as "perfect" as everyone thought.  It turns out that Bill Belichick has been secretly videotaping other teams practice sessions and getting clued in on defensive signals since 2000 when he took over as Pastriots coach. What role do you suppose this played in all their Super Bowl championships and regular season games?

Two days before the February 3 Super Bowl, Arlen Specter, senior Republican on the Judiciary Committee publicly questioned the league's decision to destroy the videotapes which were taken from the Patriots on September 20 when the team was caught recording the New York Jets' defensive signals during the Patriots season opening win on September 9.  When Roger Goodell confronted Belichick on this, he said his interpretation of the guidelines made it legal. Goodell did not agree.

It has also been reported by the Boston Herald that a member of the Patriots' video staff also taped the St Louis Rams during a pre-game walk through before the 2002 Super Bowl.

Maybe this is why Belicheck missed a key play in Super Bowl XLII, which probably cost them the win? His mind was on other concerns.

If every team did this where would NFL football be?
