In this edition of NFL Football Ticket I would like to talk about some proposed rule changes to the NFL's current set. These are inclusive of some overtime adjustments and penalties, as well as how stats are placed upon the players and when. NFL Football Ticket has seen many editions, most discussing teams and players, shots at winning, odds at losing and of course the all too worthy NFL Football Ticket predictions. What follows are three candid change suggestions that many of you will amply agree with me on.
1. Change the overtime rules to mimic college football—each team starts from the 20 yard line with a shot at scoring, after three overtimes they can not kick a point after if they score, they must go for a 2-point conversion.
2. When a quarterback throws the ball and it is dropped by the intended receiver or miss-caught, and an interception results—that pick should count against the receiver and not the QB.
3. Teams should not be penalized for kicking-off touchbacks—if you have a kicker with a great leg you should be able to pin the other team at the 20 yard line every kick-off.
