| There are some new rules coming to the fore in the next upcoming season of the NFL and they are intended to improve the game. NFL Football Ticket News has learned that there will be several new rules that will take affect when the 2008 NFL season officially commences. The main rule, which all of the NFL team owners and the commission met on last week was the proposed long hair rule. NFL Football Ticket News reports that the NFL will be banning any hair protruded from a helmet and hanging down further than a few inches outside of the helmet. The new rule will ban players from having long hair on the field. But NFL Football Ticket News has also learned that this rule does not mean that players can not have long hair when they play football. It simply means that they must tuck it inside of their helmets during game play to avoid being penalized with fines. The rule emanates from several players getting tackled by having their long hair pulled, which can be extremely dangerous. |
