Will Some Fresh Blood Help Notre Dame Football Have a Better Season This Year? |

Oh, how the mighty have fallen! For decades the Notre Dame football team was a powerhouse in college sports. It seemed like a near-unbeatable juggernaut that seemed unstoppable. However, last season put the lie to that impression, with Notre Dame football ending up with a 3 and 9 record, and a lot of fans going home disappointed at the poor performance of the legendary Fighting Irish. However, I'm hopeful that this season will prove different for Notre Dame football. It's not just blind optimism on my part, however. The hard working coaching and recruiting staffs for Notre Dame football have gotten committments from four new players who just might help turn the tide for the Irish this fall. These players are: Tight End, Jake Golic, a tall, lanky, very fast player who may just turn out to be a major asset for this team. The next committed player is Cierre Wood, a highly ranked running back, who is listed at the front of the nation's college running backs. He promises to bring some real excitement to South Bend. Tyler Stockton is the third player committed to Notre Dame football, and he is slated to be a nose guard. A good choice, I think. The final player committed to Notre Dame football is running back Theo Riddick, a hard-working, fast player who will likely do a lot for Notre Dame football. Let's hope these four players can help Notre Dame football get back on track.
